About Nissa On Hold Pending Adoption
Nissa is on hold pending adoptionnissa is a gentle and very people focused young german shepherd dog in need of a caring home. Nissa has been taken into care from a local animal shelter and we have found her to be affectionate, and your typical german shepherd, alert and intelligent. Nissa likes to be the one and only we have taken her for walks and she is a bit pully on the lead but with further training is responding well. We have introduced nissa to both male and female dogs and she is playful but dominant. We are probably considering that nissa might prefer to be the centre of attention in a household as she will be the dominant one in a pack. So if you have a male dog who is lay back and you are looking for a friend for him nissa would be good as long as he knows she will tell him what to do. Nissa would benefit from a home where she will be an integral member of her new family and have inclusion in the family home. We rescue these dogs after being abandoned and neglected and we want whats best for them. Knowing the shepherd breed and their need to be included with the family there is no point in leaving them as yard dogs. Nissa would benefit from a daily walk and from our observations probably not suitable to go to a home with cats or pocket animals. Nissa will make a wonderful companion dog for an older couple. She would be suitable for a home with children over 10 years of age as she still likes to jump up when excited but only in play and she still tends to grab her treats but she is receiving training in this area too. Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
