Winston *On Trial in His New Home*

*winston is currently trialling his new home* we were saddened when beautiful winston wasn’t collected by his owner after spending 3 long weeks in our local pound so we had to step in and save this big gentle pup!!! now winston is looking for a forever home where he’ll be loved and cherished and not have to worry about ever being left behind in a pound again; will it be with you?

winston has settled in well into foster care where he’s got a lovely male border collie cross showing him what the good life is all about! he has already picked up “sit” and knows “down” though he hardly ever jumps up on you. He is learning how to walk on a lead as we doubt he’d ever been on one before. Laidback winston is already responding to the name his foster carer gave him and as he loves food (especially treats!) this is really helping with his training. Winston’s ‘breed’ is what’s known here in sunraysia. Victoria as a “bullion x” - you can see ridgeback in him even though he doesn’t have a ridge along his back he’s got a slight one down his face but his colouring leans more towards the lighter english mastiff which is where the shape of his paws comes from too and to top winston’s good-looks off he has a cute white tip on the end of his tail! winston will be a large sized dog once he finishes growing. as he’s only a young pup winston will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep winston stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief!

as winston is doing really well with his housetraining he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
