Ned *On Trial in His New Home*

*ned is currently trialling his new home* meet ned the loveable goofball!!!! \ he’s a gorgeous 22 month old german shorthaired pointer x english pointer who’s looking for a fun-loving forever home, will it be with you?

adorable ned has been reluctantly surrendered to sarg for rehousing as sadly his owner’s 6 year old son is very allergic to ned’s dander which makes it hard as he adores his furry friend and wants to cuddle him all the time – it was a tough decision for his family to make. Ned is terrific with children though we wouldn’t recommend a home with little toddlers who he may accidentally bowl over in his excitable exuberance! he’s also great with other dogs taking on a more submissive role – ned doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He’s not “licky” or a barker though will give a warning bark when he feels it’s necessary. His owners have put quite a lot of work into ned’s training; he knows “sit”, “drop” and “rollover” and he’s great in a car – he looks forward to his trips down to the murray river for a dip! ned’s a happy, healthy dog who loves going for walks and has learnt to stop and wait before crossing roads. He’s quite strong to walk, especially when he first starts out so he may benefit from the use of a halti or similar device. This friendly affectionate dog doesn’t normally jump up on you (he knows the “down” command), he sort of jumps lightly around you and wiggles and wags as he’s still quite puppyish which is cute!

handsome ned would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion to play with or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during his settling in period. A secure yard, daily walks, ongoing obedience training, bones to chew on, toys to keep him stimulated and lots of love would make ned very happy indeed!
