Maya (On Trial)

On trial in a new home 12/5/12. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au. . . Maya is a 5 yo shih tzu x terrier. She is adorable, loving and just wants to please you and be where you are. She is starting to bond with me in this short time which means she learns quickly. She loves being brushed, is house trained and uses a doggy door. She loves to be near you and having a fuss made of her. Maya gets on well with my other foster dog and would be alright with children over 5 years. She has just started to play with her soft toy (i don't think she knew what it was to play). . . She has a lovely, soft, low-shedding coat which requires brushing (couple of times a week), bathing (every 3-4 weeks), and clipping (about every 6 weeks). . . As i have only had maya about a week, there isn't a much more i can say about her. She was dumped at a local pound, probably by a backyard breeder, as she gets frightened when you try to put a coat or lead on her. But i am working on that by winning her love and showing her that there are people who are loving and caring and not nasty. . . In all, she is a very sweet girl and is delightful to have around. . . *** please see more photos of maya at http://tinyurl.
