About Limerick
Limerick arrived at her foster carers home on St Patrick's Day and the luck of the Irish was with her. Limerick spent two weeks at the Pound as she was microchipped but her owner did not bother to come for her which was probably a good thing as she was not in good condition. Limerick is in foster care with three male dogs, all Shih Tzu X, and she loves to spend the day romping and playing with them. For this reason we think Limerick will be a much happier girl if she has a small doggy companion to play with in her new home. Limerick is a happy and loving little dog who likes to find a vantage point in the house (the top or arm of a sofa is preferable) so that she can gaze out the window watching the world go by. She also enjoys spending time in the garden sitting for long periods of time soaking up the sun. Limerick is an active, older girl that goes for twice daily walks with her foster carer. She walks for a few kilometres each time and can happily keep up with her younger companions. Limerick has one unusual quirk - she growls when she is happy and it's her way. This 'grumbling' can be typical Shih Tzu behaviour! Limerick is a house dog that is house trained and she does use the doggy door. She has a coat that will require regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling great.
