rowly is a 3 yo cavalier king charles spaniel x shih tzu with the most gorgeous golden coat and huge brown eyes. He is very placid, a bit shy at first, but so eager to receive love and kindness, as these were in short supply in his original home. . . Rowly loves cuddles and sitting on my lap and having his tummy rubbed. He is sooo happy to finally be getting some love. He is very devoted and adoring. He is just learning about toys and is starting to played with stuffed toys. It's so sweet to watch him enjoy himself. . . He's tries to be very obedient, comes when called, and walks nicely on lead. It's too soon to allow him off lead as he is still learning about the world and he needs to get out and about more. He could use more time spent on training as it's all new to him. We're working on housetraining and he's doing very well but still has an occasional accident. He's not fussy about food and eats just about anything i give him. . . Rowly is definitely an indoor dog and must be allowed indoors when people are home (and ideally when they're not too). He loves using the doggie door to come in and out. He sleeps in a cozy bed in the laundry at night with my other small foster dog (oscar, also available). Rowly gets on well with oscar, sometimes they play tug-of-war with toys, but rowly would be just as happy as an only dog. . . His golden coat is so beautiful. You can keep it clipped short for easier care or let it get a bit long and silky. He doesn't shed so he won't drop hair around your house or on your clothes but the trade off is that he needs regular brushing (more often if it is long), bathing, and every 4 to 8 weeks will need professional clipping. He's well behaved during grooming. . . Rowly is wonderful with people of all ages. He would be best suited to children over around 6 years old because he wouldn't enjoy too much noise and rough handling from little toddlers. He's fine with other dogs but is more people oriented. I don't have a cat so don't know how he is with them. . . Rowly is becoming more outgoing and playful every day and it is a joy to watch. He just loves to be with people and is marvellous company. . . We can't be sure of his breed, but can only judge by his appearance. He looks like he could have any of the following in him: cavalier king charles spaniel, cocker spaniel, shih tzu, and/or lhasa apso.
