On Hold
About Baxter -Vaccinated and Desexed
Meet baxter, the pocket rocket! he'd been at the pound for a very long time, and the lovely staff and volunteers all have a special spot for this boy. This very unappealing photo of him will have to do for now, until a better one can be taken. He is in fact a mini lop, and both his ears are floppy most of the time. To get a photo of this boy is no easy task, he is always on the move! he has so much energy he doesn't know what to do with it. Hasn't quite got adhd, as he will still stop for a pat and ooze while he gets stroked (often lying as flat as a pancake), but then he's off again making mad little zoomies through tunnels, and sprinting further than the energizer bunny could ever go. This boy is active, and don't say we didn't warn you!baxter would suit a home with experience. He is a very full-on boy, who needs lots of attention. We can see him as a free range bunny in someone's home, trying to trip up occupants and captivating an audience with his mischievious behaviour. He is a bunny that is sure to make you turn off the tv, as his antics are better than any show that could be on. Baxter has now started doing backflips when he sees us approaching, -that is how excited he is for the attention and love! although this is by no means encouraged by us, his exhuberance in life and obsession with people is very touching. He loves nothing more than cuddling into your lap, and can stay there for hours getting stroked and loved. If you would like to bring this bundle of non-stop-fun into your home, please fill in an adoption form on our website: www. Porschesrescue. Comupdate: although baxter was adopted for a month, he has sadly returned because something in his new home was not right, and he started biting his owner. We will be monitoring him in rescue to see whether this happens, or if we can get our usual baxter back. If he passes his temperament test, he will still only be available to an experienced home without young children. This behaviour had not occured during his time at the pound, nor during his 4 months at the shelter previously
Medical notes
Vaccinated -please note that due to the release of calici virus, all bunnies adopted from us will be vaccinated. Desexing normally costs anywhere from $100-$360. Vaccinations are from $40-80 (costs differ between vet clinics). Therefore please don't try to haggle the price of the animal for adoption. If you can't afford the adoption fee, you certainly wont afford the ongoing costs associated with animals
