Zahlee (On Trial)

Zahlee is a 8 month old kelpie and a very sweet and gentle soul. She currently weighs 12kg and will grow to be a small-medium sized dog. . . Zahlee has had a rough start to life. She was rescued from the pound and soon after was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in her hip. She has since undergone surgery and has recovered amazingly well. Zahlee will need a committed owner who will exercise her daily to ensure that she has a pain free life. Zahlee loves cuddles and being by your side as much as she can. Zahlee is a bit of a "shadower" and will sit under you chair or at your feet waiting patiently for a pat or invitation to snuggle. . . She gets along well with other dogs and does not bark much. Zahlee does not have an aggressive bone in her. She interacts well with the children that she has met and loves people. She is a submissive girl but loves to play rough with her foster brother and has a lot of energy being a working dog. . . Zahlee loves the beach and will chase the other dogs into the water (most of the time). Zahlee is learning basic commands such as sit, down and stay, as well as general manners including sitting for food and not to jump. She walks reasonably well on the lead and does not pull much. She is a very intelligent girl who would be great in obedience or agility training. . . Zahlee is toilet-trained and has not had any accidents inside so far. . . Zahlee would be best suited to an active family with another dog for companionship where she will be exercised daily and get ongoing mental stimulation. . . Dog rescue newcastle www. Zahlee's $380 adoption fee covers her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.
