Toby *On Trial in His New Home*

*toby is currently trialling his new home* this adorable little dog is toby and he’s looking for a fun-loving forever home – will it be with you???

recently rescued from our local pound toby’s foster carer describes him as a beautiful young boy with lots of energy who, when he’s not playing with toys, is happy to entertain himself by chasing flies and insects around her backyard! toby is a healthy, happy dog who enjoys cuddles and attention though he does like to return the affection with a few good licks. He gets along well with the little dogs he’s in care with who are twice his age – he’s even got the shyer female playing like a puppy again! toby interacts well with humans of all shapes and sizes though he may be a bit bouncy still for young toddlers and he’s fine with the household cat. He is very well behaved inside, is toilet trained and has taught himself how to use the doggie door when he needs to go out. He is a good little watch dog but not in a yappy way. This cute little fella is an energetic, wriggly, bundle of joy who puts a smile on the face of everyone he meets!

toby is quite low-maintenance, only requiring the occasional brush and wash to keep his coat in tip-top condition and the bonus is he hardly loses any hair. When called he comes and sits especially if there is a treat involved. His carer says toby does jump up a bit when he first greets you so she is working on that. Daily walks (he’s great on a lead) or runs around the back yard, secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on and toys to play with will make gorgeous toby very happy indeed!

as toby is housetrained he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion or on his own if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during his settling in period. He is happy sleeping inside or outside and likes to mix it up a bit!
