About Sparrow
Sparrow is a very sweet, but very timid little Chihuahua girl who came to PAWS in very poor condition. Dear little Sparrow was extremely nervous, shunning any human contact and preferring to run away and hid but since being in foster care she has made a great deal of positive progress. Whilst Sparrow is still frightened by strangers (especially men) she is now happy to snuggle with her foster carer on the lounge and doesn’t mind being held so will allow her foster mum to pick her up. Sparrow has started to venture out into the big wide world and go for walks and is quite happy until she sees a stranger, then a little reassurance is called for. Since arriving in her foster home Sparrow has really started to enjoy playing with other dogs and seems to be enjoying a second puppyhood. \ She is best suited to a quiet, experienced Chihuahua home with a very kind and patient family who are prepared to give her the time she needs to trust and love new people. The company of another confident (but not dominant) similar sized dog would be great for Sparrow or alternatively she may be OK as a single dog within a household where someone is home all the time. Sparrow is a house dog needing access to the house at all times. She requires a small, very secure backyard, plenty of human contact and is not suitable for a home with children.
