About Gemma
Sadly gemma is looking for a new family as she suffers from anxiety which is at its worst during storms. Her family have tried a number of things to calm her and her anxiety can be controlled with medication however, once the storm is over, she is back to her old self. Although 6 years old she still acts like a puppy so would be most suitable for a family of older kids (10 and over) or no children at all. Gemma is very good with the children she lives with but can be boisterous and knock them over (which of course they think is a great game!) ideally gemma needs to be an indoor/outdoor dog as she is much calmer when inside the house. Her new home must have a very secure, large yard or courtyard with minimum 5 foot high colourbond fencing which has no gaps underneath as she will dig or climb to get out when there is a storm. Gemma would also appreciate the companionship of someone who is home for much of the time, perhaps with a 'stay at home' mum or a retired person or couple. Gemma weighs 22kg so is a smaller version of her breed. Gemma comes desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is free to a good home.
