Black&white-a-thon!!!!

i'm taking part in the first ever paw prints black&white-a-thon! black and white cats are awesome, but for some reason we seem to get overlooked. Personally i think it's a travesty of the highest order! there is something very special about us black and whiteys and here is your opportunity to discover it for yourself! my adoption fee has been reduced to just $125!! i'm desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated and all of me can be yours for just $125, which is a fraction of the cost of my vet work!*

luna's mothering duties are now over and she is having a ball enjoying a second kittenhood! she loves playing with the other cats and kittens in care and is an absolute joy to watch!
all she needs now is a home of her own where she will be loved and adored as she always should have been. ----------------------------------------------------

luna is one of the most extraordinary cats i've even had the pleasure to meet. I received a call one afternoon from another rescuer asking me if i had space for a cat that was about to be put to sleep. I didn't have space, but asked for more information anyway. I was sent a photo of a dirty, sad looking but striking black and white cat that was so very pregnant and only looked to be a baby herself. . . I made room. Luna was located in a country pound, so she was transported on the wednesday to a temp carer half way to us and the plan was for her to make the rest of her trip on the sunday. The more i looked at the photo of her sitting in the pound and just how pregnant she was, the more i was convinced she wouldn't last until the sunday. Her wonderful temp carer set off on the friday morning and she arrived here late friday afternoon. Luna went into labour late saturday night. Luna gave birth to 5 of the tiniest babies i've ever seen. Sadly the last baby was extremely under developed and didn't survive long. The first born struggled from the start and heartbreakingly died a few days later. Luna was left with 3 babies to care for and has been a wonderful mum. When her babies were 3 weeks old, we received a 3-4 week old orphan and luna quickly took him on as one of her own. Luna's babies are now 8 weeks old, but still quite small and she is continuing to be a wonderful, doting mum. Luna has even joined forces with our other mumma cat october (http://www. Petrescue. Com. Au/view/153926) and the 2 girls having been raising their babies together!

in a few weeks her mothering duties will be over and luna will be looking for a home of her own where she can have the kittenhood she sacrificed to raise her babies while only a kitten herself, and to live the life she deserves. We estimate that luna is about 10 months old and although i've listed her as a 'cat' she is really just a teenager. Everyone that meets luna agrees that there is just something amazingly special about her. She has the most soulful eyes and is often deep in thought. Now that her babies are older, she's becoming more and more playful and is an absolute delight to watch. Luna will be ready for her new home mid april but is available for pre-adoption now. Because of her colouring, luna would like an indoor only home to protect her from the sun. *normal adoption process applies
