About Ruby (On Trial)
Ruby is a labrador x mastiff, around 2 years old. She has a wonderful relaxed temperament and is friendly with other dogs of all sizes. She is not a barker, the only noise she has made has been while playing. She has basic obedience training: she knows how to 'sit' and 'drop', she sits and waits for food, she lays down on her bed when we tell her to, and she stays when we tell her to, and if asked to wait when approaching a road she will sit and/or drop. . . Ruby is housetrained and if taken to the toilet before bed can be locked inside and will not need to go out until the morning. . . Ruby needs the company of another dog of a comparable size another to play with and to keep her company while you are out. . . Ruby needs to be allowed to have some time inside. She would not cope well with being an only dog locked outside. She would not suit a home with small pets such as birds or rabbits as she has an instinct to chase. She is fine with children but they should be at least 8 years old because due to her size she could be accidently knock over the littlies. . . Like any dog, ruby needs a daily walk. Due to her strength she and is not suitable to be walked by children. Like most dogs she can pull initially on a walk and is very strong but she does quickly settle down to walk beautifully by your side. Ruby would love to attend dog training classes to learn even more and she is so eager to please. . . Ruby is desexed but has had at least one litter of puppies before she wound up in the pound. She has shown some anxiety of outdoor running taps and sprinklers and does not like diy dog baths, but she was ok in the bath tub at home. Her short coat would minimise the need for bathing. She hasn’t show any interest in swimming but enjoys a walk on the beach. . . Ruby is a brilliant dog who loves to be where you are and is ready to join a family who can fully appreciate her. . . *** please see more photos of ruby at http://tinyurl.
