Bouncer *On Trial in His New Home*

*bouncer is currently trialling his new home* recently surrendered to sarg for rehousing, as his owner had too many dogs, beautiful bouncer is settling in well into foster care where he’s being shown the ropes by his carer’s 10 year old female rottweiler who bouncer just adores. We don’t think he’s had much of a life so far as he’s a bit unsure of the world, has never been on a lead and his rotti “girlfriend” is teaching him how to play as he had no idea what toys and balls were – he was very wary of them at first. This lovely, gentle natured young dog can be quite shy when you first meet him though he does warm up once he realises you’re his friend. We wouldn’t recommend him for a full-on, active household or with boisterous young children as it would be too much for him as he does cower and cringe at loud noises or unfamiliar situations though we are working on this so hopefully bouncer will learn that the world isn’t such a scary place!

bouncer enjoys cuddles and attention and he’s not at all yappy or “in your face”. He is learning to “sit” and to come when he’s called and he’s learning how to walk on a lead with lots of encouragement from his rotti “girlfriend” who’s been terrific when it comes to building bouncer’s confidence, she’s really taken him under her “paw”. Bouncer is excellent with other dogs having grown up in a household with so many though we’re not sure how he is with cats but this can be tested if required. handsome bouncer is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up his energy. He doesn’t appear to shed much hair and will only require the occasional bath to keep it soft and shiny. Secure fencing, bones to chew on, toys to play with and lots of love will make bouncer very happy indeed! at 10kgs bouncer is on the small side of medium. Bouncer’s had a pretty rough start to life diet wise so will need to be fed high quality dry dog food in his new home. He would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with preferably a nice doggie companion to help settle him in or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time.
