Sage *On Trial*

*sage is currently trialling her new home* little miss sage is one of 4 healthy, happy puppies who were born on 4 january 2012. The pups were recently surrendered to sarg and are now looking for loving forever homes. Their mother is an english staffordshire bull terrier, while their father is a maltese x shih tzu so it’s an interesting combination indeed!

all of the pups have lovely, friendly nature’s and get along well with their carers other dogs and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults as well as children making them pretty much “bomb proof”. They are fascinated with the household cat who prefers to stay out of their way. All of the pups love food and aren’t fussy so hopefully this will help with their training. Gorgeous sage is a snuggle-bunny who likes to look after her brother presley, who she’s in care with, and coax him into some playtime which she loves. Their maltese x shih tzu father has come through in both sage and presley’s coats making them a bit “hairier” than their siblings - they don’t appear to lose much hair so that’s a bonus! (note presley already has a home to go to). While in care sage will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and how to walk on a lead as she definitely needs some practice with this. As she’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep sage stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. The pups kinda look like mini staffy’s with soft floppy ears and we reckon they’ll be small to medium once they finish growing. Sage would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.
