Portia *On Trial*

*portia is currently trialling her new home* this camera-shy little girl is portia and she’s looking for her forever home, will it be with you???

recently surrendered to sarg for rehousing as sadly her owner no longer had the time for her, portia is a friendly dog who enjoys cuddles and attention. She’s settled in well into foster carer where she’s having a ball with her carer’s 8 and 10 year old children and their own dogs although she’s not so sure about the household cats as we don’t think she’d met any before so her carer is working on this. Snuggly portia is just as happy fulfilling the role of “lapdog” as she is playing with the kids and you’ll often find her curled up with her carer watching tv once they’ve headed off to bed. She’s fantastic with women though can be quite timid when it comes to meeting men especially if she’s down at ground level so portia’s carer is helping build her confidence and hopefully she’ll realise not all adult males are scary!

adorable portia isn’t at all yappy or in your face and at less that 4kgs she's a terrific take anywhere size. She sleeps inside at night and you don’t hear a peep out of her until morning and she’s a good little eater who isn’t fussy. Little miss portia is terrific on a lead and enjoys getting out and about for a walk. She doesn’t appear to chew or dig which is a bonus and as you can see from her video she knows “sit”. Daily walks or runs around the back yard, secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on toys to play with and lots of love will make portia very happy indeed!

as portia is already housetrained she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s settling in.
