About Matey
Matey is a lovely stumpy tail acd male approx 12 months old. This little guy has been mistreated but he is not broken. He loves life out of the pound and is ever greatful. Matey is not at all destructive nor aggressive, he is sharing the place with cats kittens other pups and dogs. He is safe to walk off lead with poultry including chickens and ducks. He does not worry horses either. He needs a gentle hand as he still cowers some but he is loyal to anyone who shows him kindness. Matey walks beside you off lead but i havent tried on lead. He sleeps in an enclosed verandah at night. Matey doesn't jump up and he greets you with turning doughnuts in front of you
Medical notes
Matey has luxating patellas on both his back legs. This gives him a stance that is altered at times and he sits in a strange way. But despite this he is active and will remain so. At this stage the vets opinion is that he does not require surgery and may never. It may mean he will get a bit arthritic in older age but a fit lifestyle and a good bed and diet will help aleviate this and the symptoms. This does not affect him being a good pet and having a quality life with you
