Angus

Sadly angus has been returned to the shelter. He's been a bit of a naughty boy at his recent home and has caused his previous owner's to be in trouble with their neighbours. Angus likes to bark. He barks regardless of whether he's inside or outside, whether he's had toys to play with, whether he's got a citronella collar on or not and even when trained with a clicker. His previous owner has sought assistance from a dog trainer, but to no avail. But. . . Angus hasn't barked at all at the shelter. He's in a run with another dog so we believe he was missing canine companionship. We are hoping this is the issue but we wont know for sure until angus goes on trial to a new home. Angus does have another issue - he has a strong dislike for men and will become a bit aggressive if he feels threatened or if he feels his loved ones are in danger. This means the lawnmower man, postman etc are all on angus's radar. Angus loves water, has had an annual heartworm vaccination, loves being inside and gets carsick. His coat when clipped is white but as the hair grows it's a grey colour. He's a lovely little boy who needs a special home

update on angus: he has been so traumatised in his original home (and we saw the handling of him so we have no doubt about it) that there is little chance of angus ever liking men or children - even well behaved children and lovely men. If you're a single female angus will adore you forever but please understand that should a man or child one day come into your life angus will not adjust to this. • breed:maltese
