Ava *On Trial*

*ava is currently trialling her new home* we can’t believe this adorable little dog was left behind at our local pound - lucky for ava she’s now enjoying life in foster care while we search for the perfect forever home for her; will it be with you???

fun-loving ava enjoys a romp and a play with her carers own young dog, (or any other friendly dog for that matter!) and even though we don’t think she’s ever met one before she’s doing really well with the households cats. Ava is confident around adults and she is good with children though just like any young dog she can be a bit “bouncy” around toddlers and would need to be supervised. This gorgeous girl only weighs 3. 6kgs so she’s a great size for taking everywhere with you!

pretty girl ava is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up her energy – she’s been learning to walk on a lead as we don’t think she had much practice at this in her previous life and she’s loving getting out and about! ava knows “sit” and is already coming when called to the name we chose for her. She can also be a little “mouthy” still when she gets excited so her carer is working on this. As she is only young she will require ongoing socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! ava appears to be housetrained and has only had a couple of “accidents” since arriving in care and learning the household routine so she may need a little help again when adjusting to her forever home. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on, toys to play with and lots of cuddles will make loveable ava very happy indeed!

ava would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a nice friendly doggie companion or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during her settling in period.
