Aria *On Trial*

*aria is currently trialling her new home* gorgeous aria is bursting with puppy love and playfulness. She’s looking for an owner who will spend the time helping her reach her full potential, will it be with you???

rescued from our local pound, where she’d ended up through no fault of her own, aria is a friendly, energetic young girl who loves life and would thrive as part of an active household who are committed to ensuring she has regular exercise as well as ongoing obedience training. Loveable aria gets along well with humans of all shapes and sizes and she’s good with other friendly dogs though she can be a bit too playful for the timid ones. She was in foster care with a cat which didn’t seem to faze her either. At less than 13kgs and pretty much fully grown, accordingto our vets, aria is a nice compact size who also travels well in a car. While in care aria has learnt the basics such as “sit” and we’re working on “down” as she does get rather excited when she first sees you and jumps up though she does eventually settle. She’s also getting the hang of “drop” using a treat – she’s a clever girl who likes to learn, it must be the kelpie in her! she’s also learning how to walk on a lead, as she does pull a bit especially when you first start out…she may even do better on a harness or a halti. As she’s only young she will require ongoing socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make aria very happy indeed!

as aria is already housetrained (and uses a doggie door) she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a fun-loving doggie companion to play with or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during her settling in period.
