asha has had a tough start to life so now she is looking for the good life! she is a sweet shy girl who loves you to take it slowly at first. She likes to be pat under the chin and below her ears and will come back and ask for more but very politely and quietly. She is curious about new sounds (tv/radio) and will investigate where it is coming from then just walk away, but is not scared. So far she has totally ignored the cockatiel and budgie in their cage when inside the house and has sussed out 2 or 3 favourite spots to lie down depending which room you are in. She is good with teenagers and another dog but has not met any other kids yet. We anticipate that she will be okay with kids who are gentle and know how to treat a dog respectfully. She has no problem in taking over the other dog’s bed (whilst she is not in it) and to sneak a chew on her bone. Given time she will come out of her shell to reveal the intelligent and inquisitive soul lurking beneath the surface. She seems to like to pick things up, mainly socks, and leave them somewhere else but hasn’t chewed any. May need some time spent on basic obedience like sit on command, but she will come when called with tail wagging. With a lot of tlc, reassurance and time spent with basic obedience training she will blossom into a beautiful and faithful family member. Please contact us for more details.
