About Jack
Jack is such a darling of a man. He is ever so snuggly and enjoys nothing more than curling up on the couch with you. Whilst a little timid at first - you're so tall and he's such a little boy (looks to be cross dachshund), he'll soon start to hang around you like a bad smell. Jack has lived indoors with my husband and i since the day he arrived. He quickly understood the concept of going to the toilet outside with some persistence and crate training. He's a dog that doesn't like to scoff his food the instant you put it out and would rather nibble throughout the day. He would really enjoy having a crate/kennel or something similar that he can call 'home' in his new forever home as this is where he spends a lot of his time, usually with a dog biscuit beside him keeping him company until he decides that he's hungry enough to eat it. This adorable little package of a man is full of life. He loves running around with you in the garden and he even enjoys a game of fetch with a small tennis ball. He hasn't really mastered giving it back, but he will drop it to chase another ball.
if he is going to be left home alone for several hours, he can be left outside with food, water and a few toys and he will be fine. A 'kong' stuffed with really yummy food will keep him occupied too. If you are going to leave him indoors when you are away, you may like to start him off in one room and gradually give him freedom to roam the house when you can trust he has settled in. You can be sure he will be excited to see you upon your return. All up, jack is a very well behaved dog who is easy to train. He would suit an indoor or outdoor lifestyle with or without a calm cat and/ a calm desexed female dog but i recommend keeping him inside when it is cold and breezy as he does feel the cold. He does bark, but never for nothing and his bark is not very loud or annoying. No matter what home this guy goes to, he is sure to fill your lives with love and happiness
