About Max
*max will be trialling his new home soon*max is approximately 4 years old and has bags of personality. Max's sole aim in life is to accumulate cushions and sit in and amongst them - he is never happier than when on a warm couch with lots of cushions and his people all around him- except maybe when he is getting cuddles. Max has many other endearing quirks - apart from his cushion obsession -he doesn't like loud noises - especially thunder, hoses and water, noisy toys and strangely he avoids walking on grass. Max is a well behaved boy and will sit for pats and his dinner, is impeccably house trained and knows other basic commands. He loves to do 'zoomies' and play but he is so gentle with his toys he often ends up just bouncing around toys that drop out of his mouth as his playmate whizzes past. Max loves his walks but being a whippet he is built for speed not for distance, so he is very excited for the first 100m and then walks nicely beside you - after about half an hour he is plodding and ready to go home. Max would be fine as an only dog as he prefers people over canines but is currently living peacefully with a female whippet. He is alarmed by small children and their noise and will remove himself to the backyard when toddlers are visiting, but he enjoys the attention of calm older kids (10+). Max would suit a home with no small children where he is allowed to join in family life and be amongst his people inside. If you are interested in one of our dogs please complete an application form.
