About Turbo (On Trial)
On trial in a new home 25/2/12. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly ricky. . . You’re unlikely to see a better-looking red cattle dog any time soon… this is turbo, and he is the man! around 12-15 months old, turbo has a beautiful red coat blended with touches of cream and black. He has wonderful amber eyes which reflect his intelligence, and his willingness to please you. His nature is quite gentle, but he has the energy and playfulness of a young dog, and loves to tussle with his mates, or run free on an open field. He has shown no signs of aggression to very small dogs, or dogs around his own size, but like any dog of his breed he will defend himself if attacked (but usually not until the second time!). . . Turbo didn’t have a very good first home, and was a little timid when he first arrived at his fostercarer’s house, but that has now changed and he has gained his confidence completely. He is a good watchdog, loves to have the company of his family, and would make a wonderful companion or best mate to someone who would care for him and give him time. Being a working dog, he would not make a good couch potato or suit a sedentary existence in the back yard. He is well suited to being an inside-outside dog. He loves to spend time outside, but also needs to have inside time with the family, and currently sleeps inside at night. . . He has become accustomed to travelling in the car, walks well on lead, and sits on command. He is very obedient and would undoubtedly continue to be so, as long as his new owner assumes the role of leader. He doesn’t attempt to jump fences, or to dig his way out (although he always has company and therefore doesn’t get bored). Cats are not his favourite thing, and he is unlikely to forget about chasing them without first attending rehab!. . . Turbo has heaps of potential because he is still so young and so keen to please. Turbo is in foster care near branxton, nsw (between maitland and singleton) and is available for adoption interstate. If you would like to learn more about him please phone foster carer sandra.
