I should be brushed on a regular basses and have my hair trimmed from time to time especially around my back end because i can be a bit of a grub. . I also need a good absorbent bedding eg. a little about our history, i was surrendered to the shelter several months ago prior to coming to the shelter i used to free range in my owners backyard (not caged) and had very little human contact, on arrival to the shelter i had a mild lice infestation and my hair was very madly matted i was also terrified of people. I hated being handled and made it very difficult for anyone to groom me and would nip. After arrive to the shelter i have been treated for the lice and have been handled on a regular basses i have recently had a haircut also to keep my coat from matting i have shown huge improvement and will now come out of the cage without much of a fight and no longer nip once out of our cage i calm down very quickly and enjoy sitting with my human friend while she watches the tv, i still get scared with fast movement and lowed noises and i’m still quite difficult to groom so for that reason i’m best suited for adults or teenagers and no young children. . I will continue to quieten down the more love i’m given.
