Female Chicken
I've been adopted!
Katherine and her friend, elizabeth, were surrendered to the pound after their owner couldn't afford their vet bills. Both girls suffer from a condition known as bumblefoot, and something we have seen on numerous occasions at our rescue shelter. Although chickens make fantastic pets in the right homes, research does need to be done before bringing them home like with any animal, to prevent simple problems like these. Due to the stressful time these girls have recently been through, they have a mild case of fowl pox. Elizabeth and katherine will most likely be living out their days in the caring environment of their foster home, however we will still accept expressions of interest for the time. Neither girl will be available until they've made a full recovery
