About Edward *On Trial in His New Home*
*edward is currently trialling his new home* to describe edward in a nutshell it would be: “an inspiration on three legs; determined, energetic and smoochy”!!
edward was found by one of our volunteers at the local pound, he was thin, weak and had a badly injured and infected back leg. He sat, frail, patient and purring as she tried to clean him up as he was too unwell to help himself. They bonded, and she couldn’t leave this lovely boy in his condition in the pound any longer so had him released and delivered him to the vet for treatment. Edward had to have his hind leg amputated, and being in such poor health he was susceptible to illness and became very sick three times, but he got through with the care and attention of a lovely foster family and is now a robust and happy boy on three paws!
edward’s start to his new life has been challenging but he has coped with amazing courage and determination. He reminds those around him to face any of life’s challenges head on and live life to the fullest, he is a little bit of an inspiration (and humour!) for every person that has the pleasure of meeting him. Despite his missing limb edward is fast and full of energy when he’s not laying on his side purring. He would be happy as a single cat with a couple or single person who have experience with cats as he can become excited which can be subdued with gentle persuasion. Edward had a trial adoption but unfortunately it didn’t work out so he is again on the lookout for a human or two who are as full of life and fun as he is. If you reckon you can give smoochy edward the loving home he deserves then please download and complete a sarg cat application form by following this link: http://www. Sarg. Net. Au/adoptapet. Html
ps: these photos were taken not long after his operation whereas edward's hair has grown back now :)
