Arnie *On Trial*

*arnie is currently trialling his new home* this beautiful young pup is so full of life that the ranger from balranald shire council knew he couldn’t be put to sleep when he remained unclaimed at the end of his 8 days, so they drove him the 162km’s to us sarg folk in mildura and we promised to find “arnie” a loving new home!

arnie’s carers describe him as a very good boy who gets comments from everyone he meets on how well behaved and adorable he is after just a couple of weeks of love and attention. When he first arrived he did not listen at all, he would jump up and lick and carry on like crazy though now clever arnie is sitting as soon as he is asked, and he even sits and waits for his food bowl. He gets along well with his carer’s own dogs especially their mastiff x rottweiler whose taken to mothering arnie, and he seems ok with the cats too who he tries to engage in some games. The few times he has been on a lead he has walked fine and with no hassle, however, because they live close to the river with few houses around they don’t tend to put the dogs on a lead when they go for a stroll and have had no issues with arnie running off as he is a very loyal pup who is always right by your side when walking, swimming or doing anything really. Loveable arnie enjoys cuddles and playtime and is very food orientated which has helped with his training – be prepared as he does have a huge appetite! as he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep arnie stimulated will make him very happy indeed!

arnie would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
