Pippa *On Trial*

*pippa is currently trialling her new home* dumped at our local pound when she was way too young and tiny (she was in the cat pens!) this cute pup is pippa and we’re hoping to find her a caring home so she’ll never end up in a lousy situation like that again. . . Adorable pippa’s first weeks with her wonderful foster family were touch and go due to her being so young and malnourished though now she’s flourishing and having a ball with their ever-patient border collie x even if she does annoy him with her fascination with his fluffy tail and ears! she’s an affectionate, friendly puppy who loves being picked up and snuggling in for cuddles or curling up on your lap for some nap time. Pippa’s not licky, in your face or yappy though be prepared to hear her “inner-gremlin” come out when she gets excited playing tug-o-war with her rope toys, its hilarious!!!

clever little pippa has already picked up the basics such as “sit” and “down” and she’s almost got “stay” – she’s very eager to learn and to please her carer which must be the kelpie coming out in her. Speaking of which there was some debate over her breeds, especially when she was tiny, with doberman x, kelpie x and even rottweiler x being thrown around though as she’s grown our vets have decided to go with kelpie x. Her coat is very short and she has unusual stunning coloured eyes which you can just make out in her photos and she has a lovely, calm, laidback nature for such a young pup. As pippa’s only young she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep delightful little pippa stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. As pippa is used to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle (she’s going well with her toilet training and will let you know when she needs to go out) we would like to see this continue in her forever home with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.
