Farthing *On Trial*

*farthing is currently trialling his new home* wow meet farthing!! he’s an amazing combo of pug x chinese crested and it works beautifully as he has such a fantastic, charismatic nature, you can't help falling for him when you meet him. Farthing’s looking for a loving forever home after finding himself surrendered to our local pound right before christmas through no fault of his own – will it be with you?

lucky little farthing has settled in well into foster care where he gets along well with his carers own little dogs and is terrific with the household cats. Farthing is confident around humans of all shapes and sizes and is especially good with children. This affectionate dog isn’t at all “in your face” or a yapper though he is a great little watchdog and will give a warning bark when necessary. This bright boy knows “sit” and “down” and loves entertaining himself with toys or playing with the other dogs. We don’t think he’s spent much time on a lead so his carer will be helping him with this as he loves getting out and about going for walks. Adorable farthing is the shape, size and colour of a pug yet has this long, slightly wirey fur which doesn’t appear to shed much. He does have quite a pronounced overbite which gives him a wicked grin a bit like a bulldog’s, he’s such a happy little man and a real character! farthing is fairly low maintenance, only requiring a run around the backyard or a walk around the block to use up his energy as well as a brush every now and then. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on and toys to keep him amused will make farthing very happy indeed!!

as farthing is already housetrained and very well behaved he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s settling in to his new home.
