Stella - On Trial in Her New Home!

We rescued stella a few months back from a rural nsw pound for a lovely family on a semi rural property who wanted to adopt a border collie. Unfortunately, it's become clear that 'farm life' isn't for stella and she's now looking to move to the 'burbs to be a family pet!

stella is a lovely, sweet, cuddly girl who adores children and will make a wonderful pet for an active family. Stella would like to be an only dog as she can be a bit selective when it comes to living with other dogs, but is fine with dog-savvy cats. She's not so good with chickens and will need a home with no feathered friends!

stella responds to whistles and voice tone and is learning her name. She has had some private training lessons and would benefit from some more training. She loves to play in water but is scared of hoses! stel is not a barker, with the exception of the odd pesky possum!

stella's history before entering the pound is unknown, but it's likely she wasn't treated particularly well as she is quite sensitive to shouting and gruff tones and if caught off guard, can be a little hand shy, but she's making good progress with this and although she can still get a little nervous, she wants to get over this and has so much love to give a caring family. Although we feel stella is well suited to a suburban life, she is still a working breed and will need plenty of exercise and stimulation to keep her fit, healthy and happy!
