About Rambo Is Trying A New Home!!
Rambo is trying a new home!!
rambo is a beautiful and athletic kelpie x with stunning amber eyes and a personality full of love to give. he was rescued from a farm in austral where he was being neglected but sadly it seems rambo has been abused. This is evident by his fears of brooms (anything with a pole-like appearance) and some behavioural quirks. he is very active due to his kelpie background and would need his high activity needs met with regular exercise and preferably a large backyard (which must be fully fenced). rambo also suffers from separation anxiety, so a new owner should have plenty of chew toys/bones and a companion to keep him occupied. Since being rescued, rambo sleeps indoors on a pet bed and is house trained providing somebody opens the door for him to go out. he is completely loyal to those who show kindness to him but can be untrusting around strangers, unknown dogs (on walks) and noisy children. Rambo is trained to walk on-leash but can sometimes be distracted by other dogs during walks. he gets along with most animals, cats and dogs but is recommended for a home with another medium or large size dog to play with. Due to his past maltreatment, rambo will need an owner who is experienced with active dogs and abuse cases as he can be untrusting at times. he doesn't like to be bothered when sleeping and may give a warning growl (but that's all!) and is a really nice boy who wants nothing more than somebody to love him so that he can love back. rambo is very human-orientated and will follow you around the house just to be near you. Ideally rambo needs someone who is willing to give him the time to train him, or preferably enrol him in an obedience course to refine his manners, but he is overall trained in the basic aspects (sit, stay, down, shake, toileting and heel). He also has a party trick, called 'woof woof' in which he will bark in response. He also has good herding instincts so could make a good sheep herder if trained. rambo needs to be homed in a place where the owners are not gone for extended periods of time, and can't be homed with young children (under 10 years) although he likes teenagers. when rambo loves someone, he really devotes himself to them, so anyone willing to sacrifice the time and patience for him will be greatly rewarded in loyalty, affection and happiness for a lifetime. Rambo comes desexed, microchipped (to be done prior adoption) and wormed and is available for a $0 adoption fee.
