Female burmese – special needs
this is lulu, a purebred 2 year old female burmese with special needs. We very regretfully have to re-home lulu as we cannot provide her with a suitable environment. I am an avid cat lover and lulu was bought for me for christmas 2 years ago. I have had burmese cats previously so knew of their dog-like, personality plus package. What i didn’t know is some burmese are born with a low potassium disease. Lulu was the unlucky one and has this disease. We are looking for a very special home for lulu. personality
lulu has a super affectionate baby like personality. As you can see from the photo’s (and i have hundreds more) lulu sticks to you like glue at most opportunities and likes to attach herself to you like a baby possum. The only time she stops purring is when she falls into a deep sleep. She is extremely human focused and very loyal. This cat loves to be loved and carried around like a baby everywhere you go. She will cry to be picked up or try and find the highest spot so she can put her paws on your chest so you will pick her up and cradle her. Lulu has such trust in humans and i have never been rough with her to the point that she is too trusting… she is literally bomb proof. You can vacuum the floor around her and she just sits there watching everything, not afraid. The perfect person/people for lulu would be that who can provide a stable environment with a strictly indoor home. Someone who absolutely loves cats and wants a companion/baby to have by their side or as part of their family. She is very very gentle and sweet natured and does not have an aggressive bone in her body. She therefore does not like to be rough played with or roughed up – a simple play ball that she can carry around the house is more than enough. She would like someone who will let her sleep curled up on the bed with them, and someone who is has a nurturing/mothering personality

Special needs
As mentioned at the start lulu was diagnosed with a low potassium disease at 4/5 months of age. It is managed by medication which consists of 2 tablets in her food once a day. The reason she needs to be in a strictly indoor home is if she got stolen or lost, without her medication, she would go downhill within a week and can be in a lot of pain from the effects of the disease. We cannot provide that strictly indoor home for her and she is not coping with our life style – we are currently renovating, drills going, doors open constantly. We also have a very hyperactive boxer dog who stresses her out. Lulu loves nothing more than to curl up on the lounge and look out the window all day. But with all the commotion that has gone on in her short little life i have been warned that she will go downhill without lifestyle. It is therefore made me come to the very hard decision to do what is best for her and hopefully give someone this amazing companion
