About Lupa (On Trial)
On trial in a new home 1/2/12. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly prince and elmo. . . Lupa, 1 year old wolfhound cross is a gentle girl with a sweet soul and beautiful nature. She loves to be cuddled and lives for your attention. She is still a pup so loves playing games, she can be particularly cheeky when she gently steals your clothes as you’re getting dressed trying to get you to chase her. You can see the smirk on her face as she does this. . . She is very small for a wolfhound. She has a very slight but muscular build and is similar in size to a small german shepherd. She is truly gentle. She doesn’t snatch and very softly puts her paws on your lap for even more cuddles. . . Lupa loves people and has to say hello to everyone on our walks, a very social butterfly! she gets on well with other dogs and loves to play. She loves toys and games, especially tug-a-war. . . High fences are a must for this beautiful girl. Because of her agility, getting over small fences is no problem at all. . . Lupa is young and intelligent and needs to be kept stimulated with toys, games and exercise. She would be ideal for someone who has an active lifestyle and can spend a lot of time with her. She loves to run. If you walk or jog she will happily keep pace with you. If you ride a bike she would love to run alongside on lead and push you to go faster and faster. She is not a dog you can just leave in the backyard and forget about. Like any dog, she will be destructive if she doesn't have an outlet for all her energy. She loves attention and is happy to be part of whatever you are doing. . . She would be great for someone who could take her to work with them, or who has their own business at home, or is a stay-at-home parent, or retired. After a busy day she is happy to lie beside you while you put your feet up. She is housetrained. . . Lupa would love to curl up in bed with you, but will settle to lie near you on her own blanket. She is terrific with kids, but can get excited and accidently knock them over, so children over around 8 years old would be best. . . She is not aggressive towards cats and likes to wash their face but if they run it is fun to chase them. Lupa hasn’t got this whole sit thing down; she only needs someone willing to work with her. . . Lupa was saved from death row at the pound. She is such a loving dog with mountains of potential and just needs a home of her own where someone will take the time to continue her training. This girl needs that’s special person to give her all the love and attention she deserves. . . *** please see more photos of lupa, and some of our other pets, at
