Matey has wisdom beyond his age, he has the ability to look into your eyes and let you know that he deserves a second chance, just please don't abandon him again, his big heart couldn't take it. He has all the smarts and energy of any working dog breed his age and would need some time at obedience school. . . . . To learn the basics. He will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation, this isnt a boy to be left alone at home day in day out. Matey needs a job, he needs company and he needs a mate. He is great wth kids, but his over enthusiasm to learn and to be loved may be too much for small kids and toddlers. You will need patience and some good leadership skills. . . . .
