About Bella - On Trail
As bella was micro-chipped before she was found in the pound i have managed to piece together a detailed history over time with lots of phone calls - and it is that of a consistently loved and cherished family member. They all say - she is loving, affectionate, well behaved, good with children, very very loving and extremely gentle. Oh. And she is also very smart and learns quickly. Once called lola, she is now named bella and has adapted to the name. She is so well trained she can be left inside during the day and won't make a mess. She doesn't need a lot of exercise but does love a walk once a day. However, she can entertain herself well in the back yard with a toy. She might take your shoe as a game so you will find her with the hope of a pat or cuddle but she won't chew it. She doesn't dig. She responds to commands like wait, sit, stay and will not eat her dinner until allowed to. Her history. First a loving mum who fell on hard times and could no longer care for her. This lady gave her to a women who also fell on hard times and was unable to walk or feed her consistently. Consequently she escaped and was collected by the ranger. Neither woman wanted the dog back due to financial reasons. She is a special girl who has had numerous homes unworthy of her potential. Adoption details
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
