About Leena - On Trial in Her New Home!
**update 26/02/12**
well leena has decided that since the profile we wrote for her hasn't found her a home yet, she'd write her own (with a bit of help from her foster mum)!
my name is leena, and i am looking for my furever home. I had to have my back leg removed when i was about seven months old, but it has never bothered me, nor hindered me in any way. I am just as active as any other greyhound! i love walks, and will give you all of my attention if you will let me. Sometimes i can be very shy of new people, but once i get to know you, you can be my best friend. I had left my old home because i did not get along with my fur brother, and need a home where i can be the one and only. I do not mind being outdoors, if there is shelter, but i love being indoors on my own bed to lounge in. I am not a very noisy dog, but i will occasionally bark outside if there is another dog walking past. I get along great with children. My previous family and my foster family have had small children, and although at times i am nervous, they can also be considered my family, and someone to play with. I do not play with lots of toys, nor do i tear up any of my foster child's toys, but i do like a couple toys to play with, if you play with me. I don't mind running and chasing at all!
will you be my new furever family?

leena has been living with her foster family for some time and is proving what a wonderful family pet she will make. She's great with the family's toddler and greets her foster day with joy when he gets home from work. Leena would love to get settled in a forever home and will make her new family so happy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
leena in on the search for a new home because she's decided she doesn't want to share her people with another dog. This is what leena's owner has to say about her:
- she is wonderful with children and loves to play. However she is not so friendly and quite dominant of our other dog, so needs to be in a home where she is an only pet. She currently sleeps outside, but when we first got her and her leg had just been removed, she slept in our laundry at night without accidents!!
since having her hind leg removed at 7 months of age, she has adapted very well and it doesn't even bother her. In fact, she runs as fast as any other greyhound!
leena would make a wonderful loving family pet where she could be the centre of attention and enjoy all the cuddles! she enjoys short walks every day, and sleeps most of the other times. -
leena will make the most wonderful family pet for a family with no cats or other dogs, she just loves kids and is wonderful with them!
the gap green collar program would be an option for leena's new owners, details can be found here: http://gap. Grv. Org. Au/linkclick. Aspx?fileticket=tx2j3s61pz8%3d&tabid=752
Medical notes
Leena had a hind leg removed after a nasty break at 7 months of age. There are no ongoing medical requirements for this. Leena goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, worm and flea treated and current in vaccinations
