Chester (On Trial)

On trial in a new home 6/12/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly ren and kody. . . Chester is a 2 and a half year old maltese x chihuahua. He is a super sweet little man who was surrendered into rescue as his owners moved and were unable to take him with them. . . Chester would make a wonderful companion for a retired person or couple who is home most of the time. He would be delighted to accompany you on your outings and is a gentleman to have around. He would also make an ideal little family dog as he is great with children and very happy in their company. Due to his size he would be best with calm and gentle children so that he doesn't get frightened but he enjoys to be picked up and nursed by children and seems very comfortable in their company. . . One of chester's favourite things is to sit on your lap and have a scratch behind the ears. He also loves to play with his squeaky toys and to play fetch, he is very good at bringing his toy back to you. Chester needs a home where he is allowed inside most of the time but he is also happy to spend some time outside on a nice day. He is currently sleeping on his foster mum's bed, he especially loves to snuggle under the covers and he would be very happy to continue this at his forever home. Chester is an all round nice boy and can't wait to become a much loved family member. He will repay you with much love and devotion. . . Chester does get frightened with thunder storms and would need to be inside and to feel safe when these happen. He does shake a little when he gets nervous. He has never tried to escape but would need small solid fencing due to his petite size. He isn't a fussy eater and is happy to just help himself to his dry biscuits throughout the day but enjoys the special mince, rice and veges his foster mum cooks up for him. Chester has quickly picked up toilet training and is very good at using a doggy door. . . Dog rescue newcastle www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation.
