Katie *On Trial*

*katie is currently trialling her new home* meet sweet katie! she and her sister, indy, and their mum, nina, were rescued from a house where they weren’t being treated very nicely. The pups were the most traumatised by the experience but thanks to a month in foster care where they’ve received love, affection and good food their faith in humans has slowly been restored and they are now ready to go to their forever homes – will it be with you???

little katie is the smallest of the three and sadly was affected the most by her cruel start to life though she is getting braver every day. She doesn’t come to you easily if you want her, but if you’re sitting on the couch, or lying in bed (yes she can jump!) she will happily come and snuggle up with you. Katie enjoys the company of other dogs and she’s not at all licky or demanding – you hardly hear a peep out of her. Katie is the follower and being with her sister, indy, helps with her confidence and the two of them will play for hours on end before curling up together for a well deserved nap. Lovely katie has been learning to walk on a lead though hasn’t had much other training at this stage; she needs to take things slowly. Daily walks or runs around the back yard, secure fencing, chicken necks to chew, toys to keep her stimulated and lots of patience and love will make katie very happy indeed!

katie would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup. We reckon katie and indy’s father must’ve been a jack russell x as unlike their mum’s wavy coat theirs is short, sleek and shiny.
