About Ben (On Trial)
On trial in a new home 28/11/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly rastus and zac. . . Ben is a very handsome 12 year old australian terrier cross. Ben is thriving on the new found attention he is receiving and is really starting to come out of his shell. . . Ben loves children – he loves to play and interact with them. He is a gentlemen on walks, happy to wear a harness and is very obedient. Ben will only go to a home where he is allowed to be inside and part of the family. He currently sleeps on his own little bed in the bedroom and he is happy to spend time outside in the day when the weather is nice as he is comfortable in his own company. He would make a great little guard dog to let you know when someone is at the door. He is currently living happily with other dogs but we think he would also be content to be the sole pet to a retired couple or person who is home most of the time and he would be delighted to join you on your outings. . . We can't be sure of his breed but he sure is handsome. Ben has a beautiful, silky, golden coloured coat which is non-shedding. He leaves little or no fur around the house, but he does need regular brushing, bathing and clipping to keep him comfortable and looking adorable. Learn more about the australian terrier at this site: http://www. Justdogbreeds. Com/australian-terrier. Html. Small dogs like ben typically live to 15 or 16 years old so he still has plenty of life to live and lots of love to give. . . Ben isn’t a fussy eater and is housetrained but needs to be let out at regular intervals. He has just learnt to shake hands and with time and love he would learn other commands. Ben doesn’t appear to have had treats or toys before and he is enjoying all the kindness and love he is receiving. . . Ben has been wonderful with the 6 month old kitten he is sharing his foster home with and he has never done anything naughty. He doesn’t misbehave and likes to do as he is told. He does need quite a bit of reassurance because he often thinks he is going to be in big trouble so he would not suit an environment where there is any yelling or shouting. He is thriving on positive reassurance and getting more and more confident by the day. We suspect he hasn’t had a very kind past, so his retirement is sure to be the best years of his life. Ben would love to be someone's devoted companion. *** please see more photos of ben at http://tinyurl.
