About Drooper - On Trial in His New Home!
Drooper is the smoochiest of the litter and loves to curl up on a lap for a cuddle and a pat. He also enjoys playing with his brothers and the other foster cats and kittens and would be happy as either an only cat or with a kitty playmate. He is also used to cat friendly dogs!
due to his pale colouring, drooper would like to be indoor only, or indoor with some outdoor time in a shaded area. Drooper and his litter mates were surrendered at about 5 weeks old. They have had to over come several obstacles to get to where they are now and we couldn't be more proud of them!
when the boys arrived in care, it was clear that they were not well little kitties at all. They had coccidia (an intestinal parasite) which caused severe diarrhea and dehydration, they also had both calicivirus and cat flu which both caused respiratory problems, high fevers, mouth ulcers and conjunctivitis. Throughout it all, the boys remained happy and friendly and after a lot of vet treatment they are now all feeling great!
it's quite common for rescue cats and kittens to have been exposed to cat flu and or calicivirus, and now that they have recovered, they are no different to any other rescue kittens and have no special medical requirements. Because of the extensive vet treatment and medications needed to get the boys healthy, their adoption fees are slightly higher than normal, but i can assure you they are worth every cent! :)
