About Smuggly (On Trial)
On trial in a new home 26/11/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au
smuggly is a 2 to 4 yo pug cross. He is not a barker. He mumbles and grumbles a bit, i’m sure he’s trying to talk! he’ll have a bark at a strange noise near the fence but other than that he is very quiet. I’d say his energy levels are fairly average. He’s totally happy to sleep most of the day if there is nothing happening (and he snores a little, it is soooo funny). But open the front door and grab his lead and he is ready to go!. . . Smuggly is definitely an indoor dog. He is house trained. I’ve had no little surprises left to be collected in the mornings. He likes to sit on your feet (go figure!), lay on the tiles, plop down beside the lounge. He pretty much only goes out the back to relieve himself. If i try to play ropeball with him but he looses interest pretty quickly and wanders in to flop in front of the tv. He likes to follow people around, and finds the kitchen an interesting place to sit, especially when you are trying to get a meal cooked. He must think, “well, all the actions in this area so this is where i’ll be”. . . The vet thinks smuggly is a pug crossed with something a bit larger, maybe kelpie or red cattle dog? no one really knows as he was dumped outside the pound. His microchip lists his date of birth in 2009 but he looks a year or two older, so he might be up to 4 years old. . . Typical of pugs, he has a slight overbite on his bottom jaw, funny as all heck. I’ve called him smuggly (smiling all the time but ugly). Very attentive little bloke, loves going for walks and checking things out. He will make someone a fantastic little friend. . . *** please see more photos of smuggly at http://tinyurl.
