Woofy

Woofy has been at the animal shelter since 26/07/2011. Hello, my name is woofy. I am a male rhodesian ridgeback cross and i am 2 years old. I am a big bouncing gentle giant who is full of energy and from what the shelter staff and volunteers are always telling me, i am extremely handsome , super cute and irresistible. I am only a young dog so i am extremely active and i am always ready for my next adventure. My favourite time of the day is when i get to go for my walk and i am always hopeful that this activity will lead to some kind of exciting dog related adventure. I also love to play games as it keeps my very active mind and body busy and happy. I am fun loving and would love to play games and hang out all day long. I love cuddles and pats just as much as i love fun and games, in fact, i would be happy to be patted, cuddled, scratched and fussed over for the entire day if i could find a willing participant. Sadly for me, i have been living at the animal shelter since 26/07/2011. I first came to the animal shelter when i was about 6 months old and a lovely lady took me home and spoiled and loved me. Then sadly she left this world before her time and i had to come back to the animal shelter as no one else in the family had a yard big enough for me. The shelter staff and volunteers try their best to make my stay with them as fun and comfortable as possible but what i really need and crave is a loving family or owner in a home that i can call my own. My perfect home will have a medium to large sized yard for me to run and play in with secure fencing. Unfortunately i was never given the opportunity to go to dog school and i really hope that my new family will take me to basic obedience training so i can learn all the tricks of my trade and show off how intelligent and talented i am. I like to keep busy so i am hoping that my new family will take me on daily walks and outings as i just love my people and will want to spend as much time with them as possible. When my family has to go to work i will protect my home because that is what i do! i am really and truly hoping that a special new owner or family will come and pick me very soon. I am feeling bored and frustrated by shelter life and want to make a brand new start where i can be top dog and be treated like a king because that is what i truly deserve (that is what they tell me anyway).
