About Calico -Desexed and Vaccinated -On Hold
*** i'm trying a new home! ***
calico was found as a stray, but her owners never came for her. She is a beautiful girl with unusual lilac/fawn colouring that we've never seen before. Calico is a very intelligent and regal lady, who is bunny social and would like a dominant male partner. She is very affectionate, but is probably best placed in a home with experience. She isn't fond of being picked up, however is fine after some reassurance. Originally, the vet clinic she came from advised that she was aggressive. However, since arriving we have only found her to be sweet and a little insecure, which is why a bunny partner helps her confidence levels. Judging by her past behaviour, she does not cope with stress well, and will need a calm household without young children. We have given her time to settle and done several temperament tests, and once again need to state that no aggression was observed in any situation. Like at the shelter, calico will need a large home with lots of toys to keep her mentally stimulated. Our large enclosures deter territorial behaviour, so this is essential for her to have in the future. Please note that calico has a family interested in adoption, however we are still happy to take expressions of interest incase it falls through. If you would like to adopt calico, please fill in an adoption form on our website: www. Porschesrescue. Com
Medical notes
Vaccinated -please note that due to the release of calici virus, all bunnies adopted from us will be vaccinated. Desexing normally costs anywhere from $100-$360. Vaccinations are from $40-80 (costs differ between vet clinics). Therefore please don't try to haggle the price of the animal for adoption. If you can't afford the adoption fee, you certainly wont afford the ongoing costs associated with animals
