Starr *On Trial*

*starr is currently trialling her new home* sleepy starr is one of 4 healthy, happy puppies who were born on 27 july 2011. The pups and their mother were recently surrendered to sarg and are now looking for loving forever homes. Their mother, gemma, is a 6 year old purebred dalmatian, while their father is a maltese x shih tzu so it’s an interesting combination indeed!

all of the pups have lovely, friendly, laidback nature’s and get along well with their carers other dogs and are used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults as well as children making them pretty much “bomb proof”. They are fascinated by the household cat and all enjoy a play under the sprinklers. All of the pups love food and aren’t fussy so hopefully this will help with their training. We call her “sleepy starr” as she loves nothing better than to stretch out on her back in the late afternoon sunshine for a good old snooze, and a belly rub won’t go astray either as she enjoys those too! starr is a real snuggle-bunny who doesn’t mind where she sleeps at night though it usually ends up being with of her carers kids. While in care starr will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and how to walk on a lead. As she’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep starr stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. We think starr will be on the small size of medium once she finishes growing. Starr would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.
