Jax (On Trial)

He is a sweet, gentle boy that is happy just being beside you wherever you may be and is forever grateful for any kind of affection. His tail constantly wags and is known to have a smile on his face when he's allowed inside. . . Jax is a very loyal dog that loves to please. He knows basic commands and can heel beside you when off lead. He knows to sit for meals and will wait patiently wagging his tail. He is good on the lead and loves going for walks and sticking his head out the window on car rides. He is very eager to learn and often sits looking at you waiting for his next command; with further training he would definitely turn into super dog!!. . . Jax is an easy dog to have around, very well-behaved. He is house trained and is allowed in the main rooms of the house, but when asked he will go outside. Jax sleeps on his chair outside by the back door at night and doesn't bark. He does tend to jump up on you when he first sees you in the morning because he's so happy, but is learning that's not allowed. On the occasional stormy night jax has been allowed to sleep inside and will lay down where told and go to sleep. . . Jax is fine with other dogs but prefers his doggy friends to not be too playful, as he would rather play follow the leader opposed to rough and tumble. Jax has seen cats when out on afternoon walks and is not phased by them at all. He has also been introduced to little kittens and just sits or lays looking at them trying to figure out what they are. . . Jax is great with kids. He has been around young kids and loves to follow them and give them licks on their hands. He does not mouth or bite. . . Jax would be suited to many different lifestyles but definitely to one that can give him the affection he craves. He needs to be part of the family and have lots of human interaction. He would be a great companion for an older person, as he happily lays at your feet and looks at you while you talk to him. . . Jax would thrive within a family with young children where he could be fussed over, and if he was allowed inside he would think he was the luckiest dog in the world. . . Dog rescue newcastle www.
