About Trouper
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Trouper is his name and what a little trooper he is. Trouper was impounded at renbury farm pound and the ranger who picked him up was so distressed at trouper's appalling condition that he contacted the animal welfare league inspectors to show them just how neglected trouper was. Of course the inspector could do nothing as trouper didn't have a microchip which would have led them back to his owner. Trouper's coat was so matted and putrid that he could barely walk or see and he was emaciated and downtrodden. . . How he had suffered at the hands of his previous owner(s). We saw trouper on the pound website and had no hesitation in taking him into care. Trouper is on quite a regime at the moment as his skin is infected and his coat was clipped off while he was under anaesthetic to alleviate any further suffering. Trouper is in foster care with a family who have three young children (click on photo link below and another small dog. He is enjoying the new life with his foster family who are doing everything they can to help trouper recover completely. He is a special diet to help his skin, antibiotics, a shampoo that will help his skin to heal and all of the loving that his foster family have to offer. Trouper took to being a house dog immediately, just loving the couch and any spare laps available. We will see a vast improvement in trouper's skin quickly and he will gain weight and go on to find a family who will look after him properly for the rest of his life. Trouper's coat will grow back and he will require regular grooming and clipping to keep him looking and feeling great. Trouper is a house dog now and must have indoor access via a doggy door or similar. Trouper comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $400 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. He has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic).
