Squid (On Trial)

On trial in a new home 19/3/12. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly pax and smokey. . . Squid is a 1yo year old foxy, named for his long legs. He loves his squeaky toy and entertains us when he sings along to the squeaky noise when he plays with it. He is a delightful, gentle boy. He has basic training and knows how to sit and drop (with the help of treats). Squiggles loves other dogs and is truly dog friendly. He plays very gently with our 10 year old foxie and accepts when she tells him she has had enough. He tells us when he wants to go out for the toilet by running to the door and he has no accidents so long as we are paying attention. A doggy door would be ideal. . . Squidly kid is good with children of any size as he is very, very gentle. He loves to be inside but equally loves being outside so a combination of both would best suit his needs. But he must be allowed to sleep inside; he has his own doggy bed indoors which he loves. He loves his walks and is really gentle on the lead. . . Squid loves to play chase with us, and when we get close enough to almost catch him he darts off in another direction. He thinks this is great fun! he has nice long legs for this game! we do not let him off the lead as he does not always come on command he is still learning this. . . Squidly was still a little timid after being rescued from the pound, but is gaining confidence daily. A quiet voice is all that is needed to correct any behaviours, otherwise he gets a bit worried that he is in trouble. Being young, he loves to chew and so long as he has bones and toys of his own he won't chew anything he shouldn't. . . Wiggly squiggly loves company and we cannot say how he is on his own as he is always with another dog and people around often. Squid is a treasure and will make a lovely addition to any family where he will be allowed inside and loved. . . *** please see more photos of squid at http://tinyurl.
