Bella - On Trial in Her New Home! :)

Beautiful bella was surrendered to a pound. The reason given was that she didn't get along with the resident male dog, but when i went to collect her, she was happily sharing a pen with a male labrador, so i have my doubts about the reason for surrender. Bella seems to be in good health apart from being overweight, but provided she continues on her diet of good quality, weight management food, she should be at a healthy weight in no time! bella has been in foster care for a little while now and this is what her carer had to say:

-bella is a gentle girl who adores human company she will follow you everywhere (and call to you when you are out of sight ) however when you speak to her and ask her to stop she will do so. Bella isn't keen on dog food and will try to entice more interesting human treats!!!
we have discouraged this behaviour due to her weight problem although we have given her some light dog treats (have to let her down gently )
bella will initially leave her dog food to see if she is going to get offered anything else when this does not happen she will eventually eat her food! bella will make
a lovely family pet preferably for a family with older children, or a retired, or semi retired couple who are home a fair bit. She enjoys her walks (although not able to let her off a lead at this stage as she does not always come back when called )
she sits and speaks and prefers to be inside rather than in the yard (she will protest being 'cast out' for a few minutes, but will then stop) and last but not least bella prefers to do her toilets when out for her walk rather than in the garden
to summarise we are enjoying looking after her and if i could commit to a dog on a permanent basis we would love to keep her. They will be lucky people who get her as their best friend!!!-
