Trixi (On Trial)

On trial 27/9/11. Please consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au particularly tootsie, biggles, and kassy. . . Trixi is a delightful 3. 5 yo jack russell. Anytime you want to play, she’ll be ready for games, fetch and catch and loves chewing on a bone or hard toy. Trixi is an intelligent girl who looks into your eyes as if trying to talk and communicate and senses your feelings. Although she relates well to other dogs at home, she also seems to be quite self sufficient in her way, just as accepting of her own or owners’ company as another animal, as long as she can amuse herself with a toy, a bone or insects in the garden. It is hilarious sometimes to watch her grab the dog leads and begin to go walking or lead the other dogs on our walks. . . It is obvious that trixi loves children as she always wags her tail and wants to go up to greet and lick children when we are on our walks. . . Trixi walks well on a lead and has basic training but could do with reminding about your own rules at home. She has learnt to bark since being with my dog, usually to let me know there is a visitor and perhaps as a protective measure. While she enjoys playing or meditating in the yard and garden, she will often snooze on your lap or bed, revelling in your attention and strokes. . . She is wonderful with other dogs as well as very friendly with visitors. She is an easy dog to feed and will only eat as much as she wants at one time. Trixi is an easy dog to maintain with her smooth short hair which sheds very little. She is an inside dog and will only be rehomed where she is welcome inside as part of the family. . . Trixi was raised in the country from 8 weeks old with a young family who had a young child and a new baby. Trixi became a mother herself later and so is very nurturing and sensitive yet playful as well. When the family moved to the city and experienced problems she was given to a friend who didn’t care for her in the same way and she was found wandering the street and sent to the pound. Luckily, dog rescue newcastle saved her. . . Trixi has made a new friend in foster care, lexie http://www. Petrescue. Com. Au/view/123507, another young jack russell available for adoption.
